Loadout guide
A kit per pad, and the one combination that always works.
Quick answer
A sighted rifle, a pistol, a flashbang and armour clears every pad in the game. Change the primary for house raids and the port.
One kit per mission type, chosen for the way that pad actually plays.

Bank — Cash Under Fire
- Primary: rifle with a sight
- Gadget: flashbang
- Notes: the lobby is wide, the vault room is tight, and there are more civilians than hostiles. Do not carry a frag.
Prison — Broken Bars
- Primary: rifle with a sight
- Gadget: flashbang, plus a second if the locker allows
- Notes: the wings are long and suspects come from behind. Armour is the real upgrade here.
House — Forced Entry / Locked Tenants
- Primary: pump shotgun or a short rifle
- Gadget: flashbang; C4 if you own it and the door is reinforced
- Notes: no long optics. Everything happens inside ten metres.
Museum — Night Exhibit
- Primary: sighted rifle
- Gadget: flashbang
- Notes: silhouettes against glass. Confirm every target before the trigger.
Port — Smuggler's Run
- Primary: rifle with a muzzle brake
- Gadget: smoke for the crossings
- Notes: never a shotgun. Longest sightlines in the game.
Apartments — Block Control
- Primary: rifle
- Gadget: flashbang, and be ready for four task lines rather than three
- Notes: the laptop and the money bag are interactions, not fights.
Rank-locked pads
- Primary: rifle, or the R700 on the desert
- Gadget: C4 if the pad has counters, otherwise flash
- Notes: armour first, then patience. These are long raids.
The version that always works
Sighted rifle, pistol, flashbang, armour. It is unexciting and it clears every pad in the game at least adequately. Everything above that is optimisation.
Common questions
Do I need a different kit per pad?
The pad changes your primary and your throwables. Your secondary and armour rarely change.
Is one kit enough for everything?
Yes, with one exception: the port. Bring a rifle.
What should solo officers carry that parties do not?
A Medkit pass if you have one. There is nobody to revive you when you are alone.
