Smuggler's Run port raid
The port pad, where range decides the run and a shotgun is a challenge, not a plan.
- Rescue all civilians
- Secure all hostiles
- Secure all evidence
Bring a rifle. Hostiles are scattered across the whole port, the sightlines run 30 to 60 metres, and the last stretch of quay is a walk with no cover.
Smuggler's Run is the port pad, and it is the one that punishes a shotgun the moment you spawn.

Briefing
The pad briefs as Operation Dock Line, at 3 a.m., at a port the brief calls Ravenport. Two minutes in, the radio confirms the scale of it:
What the pad asks
- Rescue all civilians
- Secure all hostiles
- Secure all evidence
Why range decides this pad
The site is cranes, containers and open quay. Hostiles appear across 30 to 60 metres, they shoot from cover, and the last stretch of the map is a walk with nothing to hide behind. This is the one pad where the answer to "shotgun or rifle" is never the shotgun — a shotgun-only run here is a challenge, not a plan.
Route that works
- Clear the near containers and the sheds before moving to the open quay.
- Work along the water rather than down the middle; the middle is where the long sightlines converge.
- Mark evidence on the crates as you pass, and check containers that have a lock prompt.
- Finish the far end of the dock, then walk the length back and confirm the task list is empty.
Kit for this pad
| Slot | Choice | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | Rifle | A sighted rifle is the whole answer |
| Secondary | Pistol | For the container doors and the reload |
| Gadget | Smoke or flash | Smoke earns a slot here and almost nowhere else |
| Armour | Heavier is fine | The distances are long and the return fire is accurate |
Where people lose this pad
- Bringing a shotgun. Every veteran run of this pad that goes wrong starts with a close-range primary.
- Walking the middle of the quay. You get shot from three directions at once.
- Skipping locked containers. Some carry evidence, and the lock hold takes seconds you should spend after clearing the area.
Common questions
How long is a port run?
Longer than the bank and slower than the prison. Budget twenty minutes solo.
Is solo viable?
Yes, but this is the pad where two officers covering different angles help most.
What is the best position on the dock?
High ground near the sheds. It puts you above the container line and shortens every engagement.
